Design an app for time travel that lets you

• choose when and where you want to go
• facilitate time travel for 10 mins
• gives you updates on what happened in the 10 mins they missed out on

One of the many important questions I had was why do people even want to time travel?

I scoured the internet (mostly Quora and blogs of random people) for answers and it boiled down to these main reasons

• To learn
• To escape (more relevant to travel than time travel)
• To witness awesome historical events (be it concerts, being in the room of Steve jobs when he came up with apple etc)
• And the obvious one, How do I end up solving a problem I’m facing? How long will I live? Basically to narrow down - Me, myself and the curiosity of my own existence

Let’s look at some real scenarios where a person might want to travel to the future/past (these examples take the “only 50 years ahead or back in time” constraint)

Past

• Watch a war ( Although, I don’t know why anyone would want this, but considering there are war movies, there’s some market for this)
• watch steve jobs come with the apple idea for the first time
• to see evidence or a criminal act to better serve justice
• To remember where you left something ( for example a treasure box as a child)
